I’ve experienced all positive experiences with caring doctors and therapists. Mahala is a God-send for me.
Unhelpful, unkind, and honestly I am shocked this is a mental health facility with how they treat patients. I was a patient there for 5-6 YEARS. In that time I mistakenly no called no showed ONCE and they closed my account and will not see me again. Meanwhile, I am completely out of meds as of last night and need at minimum my bipolar meds. I asked the nurse what I could do for suggestions or help and was told I don’t know, call back to get the front desk and they’ll see if we’ll take you back. Can’t even transfer me?! It's very strict there. Limited access to counselors. Foods limited and fridges are locked 24/7. The BR's (behavioral reflections) are given daily for every little thing such as having a deodorant in your room or not keeping your children contained in one spot.
Waited over a month for an appointment, was NEVER told to be 30 minutes early for appointment, never received online paperwork. Took a day off of work, had to find a ride, and still they wouldn’t see me even though I was technically 15 minutes early for my “appointment time”. For a mental health facility this place is a joke. Do NOT go here. Better off seeing your PCP and getting a referral for ANYWHERE ELSE. They do NOT care about their patients. I wish I could leave zero stars. The staff here are friendly and incredibly helpful. Very knowledgeable on resources for their clients.
