West Marine has Price Matching. If you find a better price online they will match that price. And the staff are great. Knowledgeable and will take the time to help you through your project.
If you find something you like or need in the store, remember this you can buy it anywhere else considerably cheaper. Small stainless hose clamp at Fisherman's Marine $.99, same clamp at West Marine $2.49. Similar savings are to be had on everything in the store. They are usually understaffed and if you do get help there are only two people in the Tigard store that are capable of real help. The rest interfere with your ability to help yourself. Summer help is totally unknowledgeable.
My son and I want to take this opportunity to thank Captain Jon Copper, Operations Manager at the Hayden Island store location for all his help with my sons Eagle Scout project. Not only did Captain Copper help William with the supplies needed for his project which was to build a section of dock for Vancouver Lake and then make the dock handicap accessible so those that are handicap can gain access to the water but he also supported and helped William with his Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony. Waited 20 minutes ... Help was called Twice!!!!! No sales associates to come help customers. Worst customer service ever!!!! I will take my money else where!!!
