By far the absolute worst experience trying to get my trolling motor repaired. I went with west marine because of what I heard about their extended warranty program. From what I've had to deal with I can say it is certainly not what I was sold. I've been calling every couple days and I get the same story, "someone will contact you in 1-2 business days to get your trolling motor serviced" "were are escalating your claim so it gets taken care of faster" I'm sorry it's taking so long and no one has contacted you". What a very bad experience I had regarding customer service. I bought Sperry sandals and one of them broke. I called Sperry and they told me to try to bring the sandal to West Marine for replacement. Because it was longer than 45 days, which is their return policy, they would not swap out the sandal. I asked for a manager and that did no good. Price Gouging! You all should be ashamed of yourselves! $298 for a 15 Gallon tank or $69 for a 3 Gallon tank! Pick your poison! I drove 45 minutes to this store to only leave empty handed and upset that I wasted twice the amount of fuel as expected and now dealing with fuel shortages during this hurricane!
