I was surprised you be so comfortable at this hotel. I was forced to take this hotel because the area I needed to be in. Looking from the outside this place needs a total renovation especially the staircase, building siding, inside too, but the staff and comfort of the bed made up for the outside. My bed was comfortable, the bathroom was outdated with black wall tiles and a continuous running spigot in the tub, however clean towels, sheets and polished furniture put all the complaints aside temporarily. Sevice was excellent from the front desk to housekeeping. Rooms are VERY outdated, which i don't really care about if it was "retro", but everything is very worn & torn & looks like they haven't been updated since 70s/80s. Mattresses definitely need replacement. Very worn & springy. The blower for ac/heat in my room was barely blowing, even on "high", & we had no hot water in our room. The staff have been very friendly and kind since my arrival. I grew up in this area so I am glad I am spending my visit staying at this hotel. The room is very comfortable and clean. The AC and heating work well to keep a comfortable temperature. The hot breakfast (included in the hotel cost) was fresh and tasty. I had eggs, sausage, and a hash brown. The Wi-Fi works well for everyday use. There's even a gas station/convenient mart right across the street Overall, it's a good place to stay when you visit Rockland County, NY
