I have stayed here several times but probably never again. My last stay was 10/27/25 and I should have asked for my money back and found another hotel. Being late Oct a reasonable person would expected the heat to be working, it was in the 40s. The room was very cold and after an hr hardly got warm. I was told the central heat was not on yet. Booked a room at this hotel for 2 nights just for sight seeing around Sleepy Hollow during the halloween week.. Just got inside the hotel room and the hotel room did look sort of outdated but decor isn't really the case here, it's all about the neglect from the management.. Just as we stepped inside the hotel room, all I was greeted with were some lumps in the carpet, there were stains on the bedding and there was no seal on the hotel room doorway. Do not stay here! Disgustingly dirty! Blood on sheets, melted dirty toilet seat indicating drug use, outdated red dirty carpet not even attached to floor. We walked into room, looked around then left! They would not refund our money but I didn’t care I was NOT STAYING There!!

My first choice was Hotel Nyack (JDV by Hyatt), but it was fully booked, so I ended up at the West Gate Inn right across the street. It was… tolerable for one night. The front desk staff were fine, no issues there. The room, however, told a very different story. The linens had stains and holes, the carpet looked tired, and everything—from the walls to the drapes, bathroom to tables—was way past its prime. As someone mentioned in a previous review, it’s survivable. The front desk staff were polite but the rooms were very questionable. I now know the listing on Expedia, AAA and other sites was not very accurate. We had no issues with linens but the stains- the carpets, the walls, the ceiling, the drapes, it’s all very outdated!! It does smell of smoke but we could deal with that for just one night. I wasn’t going to panic but I definitely wasn’t comfortable.
