The Austin store looks great and the sales associate who helped us purchase two chairs today was great. The pickup process, however, was terrible. They guy showed up with the two chairs in boxes and said he had to go back to get our small accent table. We waited and then decided to load the boxes ourselves, which is when we found out the chairs would need to come out of the box in order to fit both. Beautiful furniture, but not worth the price. It is falling apart in less than 12 months. What is worse, the cabinet hinges are defective, but they won't even come look at them. They also charged us for the Allstate Protection plan, but never submitted that money to Allstate. That is fraudulent

I spent over $10,000 on a bedroom set from West Elm and waited 4 months for delivery. When it finally arrived, the bed frame came with 6-inch legs instead of the 2-inch legs I had specifically ordered. This wasn’t a cosmetic issue — I have health problems that make it physically difficult and painful for me to get on and off a bed that high. I hesitated to buy from West Elm because of bad reviews for years but decided to pull the trigger this year from the fear of tariff price increase. Their customer service are bad as I read. I live in Hawaii so I called to ship to freight forwarder company in LA. First CS person said they’ll refund ‘white grove delivery fee’ but second person I spoke with said there’s no such a thing they’ll charge me for white grove delivery fee no matter what.
