I am very disappointed with the way my sister and I were treated. The staff was unprofessional, disrespectful, and made us feel singled out. We left feeling embarrassed and discriminated against based on how we were treated compared to others around us. A place like the YMCA should be welcoming and respectful to everyone. I hope management addresses this so others don’t have a similar experience.
This is the worst facility I’ve ever been to. They racially profiled me: they threaten to call ice. For simply wanting to get a membership. The lady with short hair and glasses refused to let me sign up. She said it was going to “take too long”. They wanted to run a back ground check because they thought I wasn’t born in the US, which i am. She then called my daughter an alien because we’re Hispanic. They should just hire new staff or permanently close this place.
Mouse sized roaches in the sauna/basement level. Don’t leave your bag on the ground. Wear shower shoes.
So I wanted to give oak parks YmcA I'm so glad I did. The workers are very pleasant.The place was so clean.The machines were so nice.I am very happy I came to this one. I highly recommend this Gym.I think i'm going to switch over my gyms now because I love it so much there
