I found Dr. Shaver to be callous & rude and 2 of the staff, equally so. One staff member, who didn’t like to hear the call I was on concerning the misdiagnosis of my 88 yr old mother’s terminal illness, told me so and when I responded: “Well then please don’t listen.” this individual yelled after me as I was walking outside to continue the call (as instructed) calling me an idiot. I asked for a second opinion & dr smith got her nose out of joint & cancelled an upcoming procedure. She said she can't do either procedure unless i do both with her. Newsflash: Patients are ENTITLED TO A SECOND OPINION. Especially when it involves eyes. I could have gotten another opinion & still had her do the procedure, but she can kick rocks. Her bedside manner is nonexistent. I see this office has many negative reviews. I can see why. The receptionist cristi is excessively rude.
Love the staff and love Doctor Shaver.
Dr Shaver and his office staff are GREAT!! I feel completely confident in his care. He has a dry sense of humour which I know many people have difficulty understanding. A number of reviews are negative saying he is rude and unfriendly. They should be thinking about the responsibility he has, the information he's having to process all the time and realize that not everyone is warm and fuzzy. Dr Shaver and the whole team are extremely friendly, professional and informative! I was worried from some of the negative reviews but I was pleasantly surprised with both of my visits and felt very taken care of! I recommend you disregard any of the negative reviews :)
