Only one elevator works in a nine-storey building, been that way since last August. When you walk into the office a loud voice says “Door Opening” A friendly sign in bold letters says if you’re rude or uncivil you will be asked to leave, or something like that. Dr Schertzer himself is quite a nice fellow. But the rest of the place is cold and indifferent
The phone is only answered from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. And you should probably call by about 2:30 PM if you want to get through. I called last Friday at about 3 PM and got an unctuous-sounding voice recording, telling me I was number 4 in line. I waited for what must have bee more than half an hour, because then I got a recording saying the phone lines were closed, and I could only leave a message between 9 AM and 3:30 PM.
