While I’d like to give five stars for this hospital, as most of the nurses and drs are wonderful, I can’t. They are very understaffed. I went into preterm labor and was being monitored closely knowing that if/when I gave birth my baby would be only 31 weeks. After a day and a half of labor I asked for an epidural. By this time, I was far too along for that and the nurse never recognized this even though she felt how dilated I was. I could not have pictured a better birthing experience than what we had at West Boca. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. Despite many things not happening the way I envisioned them (out of the control of any person on my medical team), I have nothing but positive feelings about my birth. There are truly no words powerful enough to capture how extraordinary the entire WBMC NICU team is. They quite literally saved our daughter’s life, and because of that, they will forever hold a place in our hearts. As first time parents, we could tell the nurses in Labor and Delivery are highly experienced while remaining calm throughout my labor and emergency c-section. They were very communicative and professional every step of the way. Huge shoutout to Marie and Alexa for taking care of me in L&D. I truly have zero complaints—my experience with the Labor & Delivery team at West Boca Hospital was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, Tatyana welcomed me with so much love and care; she was fast, incredibly comforting, and made me feel at ease even while I was in a lot of pain.
