My mom passed on the 5th of December. She suffered a stroke and was non verbal and could not even, when she entered eat hard food. I found her sitting in the dinning room at a table alone with a hot dog in a bun in front of her and no help. The next 4-5 days were horrible. Thank god for hospice who did come in and take care of her. I have been fighting about her bill since she moved in in August. I paid 3 months and they are still billing me for those months. Lisa Wheller, the Dining Room Manager, was fantastic to work with in planning a 95th birthday surprise for my father.
My grandma was in AL for 51/2 years. Many of the nurses and aides loved her like a family member. Can’t believe how many of them gave her hugs and kisses daily. Makes a huge difference. The nurses in Rehab are amazing.
Where to start. My mom was a resident for 8 years or so. From day one I always felt that Wesleyan had her best interest in mind I always felt secure that she was being well taken care of. I felt the love that they had for mom from her first day there until the very end. What a wonderful group of people.
