I go to the bank on Santa Monica Blvd. Great customer service. Always prompt and friendly.
I have an account from an out of state credit union in the co-op, and I went to get a cashier's check that I very desperately needed for a deposit on an apartment. The teller that I interacted with told me that the bank did not issue cashier's checks to people with outside accounts. I asked if he was sure, because he seemed very young. He said that he was sorry and there was nothing that he could do, but he said it in a very "I'm not actually sorry" way, like he was getting pleasure from my desperation. No explanation.
