$6 for a can of solo, $5.50 for a freezer burnt Paddle Pop ($7 for a box of 8 at Woolworth). Group of grown adults playing loud music and drinking in the grounds which ruined the vibe for families. BUT the mansion is great to see, really well set up and the mansion staff are very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. It's a shame the other aspects reviewed bring the main attraction down.
Well worth a visit. They have done the mansion up with period pieces some from the original owners. Each room has an audio recording giving information about the room. Beautiful surrounds.
A stepping in to another era. History and glamour preserve and showcased wonderfully. Staff was friendly and supportive. Cafe was a little crowded, but we had a positive experience.
I was really looking forward to visit the Mansion, but the experience was ruined by the extremely rude attitude of the elderly lady selling tickets. As soon as she noticed that we had a small camera (not professional equipment), she immediately told us “no instagram photos” without asking what we intended to do or giving us a chance to explain.
