My 19 yr old daughter went to her GP regarding pain in lower abdomen. GP referred her to hospital with suspected appendicitis. According to surgeons before ultra-sound and camera possibly confirmed, they would remove appendix. 24 hours later she was still sitting in ED. No food,minimal water in prep for op only to be put in a ward with 3 men. Also to be told they weren't going to operate. And also to have supporting people of patients to be kicked out of emergency I find appaling.Fair enough to kick some out but leave one ... read more

I am astonished to read of the low ratings here. My wife and I recently had to rush our sick son to the hospital. Everyone, and I mean everyone, at Werribee Mercy were fabulous - empathetic and efficient. Under the expert care of the team of doctors and nurses at Werribee Mercy our little boy bounced back and is now "in the pink" of good health (fingers crossed). Can't praise them high enough.
