He’s mild manner with the appearance of a good bedside manner. Although he apologized after I addressed him about inaccurate yet insensitive comments, I was appalled that he made them in the first place. He also wasn’t as knowledgeable about my diagnosis and didn’t want to explore other options. I selected him because of his affiliation with academia and usually have better outcomes with teaching physicians. I’m sure he’s right for others but it wasn’t a match for me.
He is very knowledgeable and most importantly, he listens to you. I started off with him as my endocrinologist in Illinois but I moved out of state to Virginia. I had a flare up and ended up in the hospital in VA and I had an Endocrinologist that I felt that was not listening to me about my body so, here I am back in Illinois with whom I trust and feel very confident, I highly recommend Dr. Huang!
