Never a complaint !! Well, I have been there for 20+ years and have no intention of leaving. I have never seen the equipment dirty or in the "middle of the floor". It is always clean. It is not a "meat market" and "yes" there are several members over 50, 60, and 70. We had one 91 and that is a benefit to me. The parking is fine, the snacks and drinks are always available . Questionable at best, but great location for East Sac'ers Pros: - Location is its best quality. Living in East Sac there are very few gyms that are close or convenient enough to get me there regularly... - Has raquetball, spin class, basketball court, swimming pool - Rarely busy
Safe, Friendly, & Reasonably Clean Joined this Gym, about 8 months ago. It's not as cheap as some of the sketchy/dirtier chain gyms out there, and while it's competitive with the local YMCA in terms of price and atmosphere, I'd say that facilities are at least a notch or two above, even if some parts are aging (ie the locker rooms). Mostly, this place is pretty clean, considering that a gym is where people go to sweat! I go here 3 to 5 times per week, and I can tell that they do regular cleaning. Wouldn't recommend, indeed I was a member for two years, and I just decided to move gyms. Every time I checked in and out, the people behind the desk looked irritated that they had to deal with me (yes every time). I would walk up to the desk to leave, only to be met by the cold, "what the hell do you want" stare. The gym itself is ok, clean and safe, but it does not make up for the fact that they have no customer service.
Snooty As this gym has no website, I went in to find out more information about the facilities and membership options. Although there were two employees behind the counter, they both said that they couldn't give me any information and that the managers were busy. I was told to come back "maybe in an hour, hour and a half" and someone might be able to show me around. I guess they're not hurting for members. I certainly won't join...
Alhambra has its pros and cons Pros: * Not overcrowded. * Steamroom, Dry Sauna, Co-ed hot tub. * Private woman's workout area located in locker room, with cardio equipment. * Great Spin Classes * Raquetball * Free Childcare w/membership * Affordable family price.
Excellent Gym This is one of those gyms you can bring your kids too (I don't have kids myself though). Not because they can work out with you, but because there is a day care area for them. I don't use their class sessions or any of the other offerings except for the machines. The staff is always really helpful and will always show you how to correctly use a machine if you have never used it before.
Top of the line place to work out What I like best about this club is their day care. Hours are perfect and the space the kids have to play is huge! The supervision is too play for!
