I thought she had a terrible bedside manor. She tried to bully my wife into a rush surgery! She did not want a pet scan. She said "it would open up a can of worms!" If finding additional cancer is a "can of worms". We got a 2nd opinion that had a more comprehensive solution. Glad we did! There are always options!

She is a brilliant, no-nonsense and compassionate surgeon. I was diagnosed with cancer in my left breast. At my initial office visit with Dr. Mikkelson she ordered an MRI of both breasts and cancer was found on the right side as well. If it weren't for Dr. Mikkelson, I could have gone through all of the surgery and treatments and not have known that I still had cancer.

My mother is a 20yr breast cancer survivor. Wendy Mikkelson called me at work to give me my mother’s diagnosis. I took it hard and Wendy, over the phone, was able to comfort me. She has the best bedside manner. She treats her patients with dignity and respect no matter their nationality.
