My daughter had 4 antibiotics for an ear infection in December. It was obviously very difficult to clear. She was seen here yesterday, 2.5 weeks after finishing antibiotics with a new ear infection. The Dr. has been patronizing in the past but this visit was very friendly. However, she hyper focused on the 3rd antibiotic my daughter received and making sure to give something that was similar. We moved to the area last year and haven’t switched pediatricians yet, so we’ve been here a few times instead of driving all the way to Buckhead. The staff here is excellent! They’re always quick to check us in, and we never wait long to see the doctor. Everyone is so kind and great with kids — they even add a little extra sweetness with popsicles and stickers. 10/10 experience every time!
Please check your dosages with the AAP dosage charts, and even wellstar official charts. We checked with regular pediatrician and pharmacist after this encounter. Beyond this wrong dosage info, the staff is super nicer, no wait, and really nice facility. I’m glad we have this option but the following experience just bothers me for first time parents who may not know any better: We came with an infant whose fever was not staying down with meds.
