Got to the E.R. with my 14 year old at 10.20 a.m. as she has significant blood in her stools and pain in her abdomen. Dr. Informed she needs an M.R.I. and we would be taken for that around 3:00 p.m. We are waiting for the MRI for over 4 hours now as when 3:00 p.m. came they then told us she now be taken after 5:00 p.m. Although the "my wellspan" portal is showing an appointment at 2:50 pm for the MRI. DO NOT got to Wellspan Emergency room and instead go to UPMC for much better care. After sitting for 6 hours they did little to help me because they were short staffed but charged me $2570 for the visit.
3.5 hours in emergency waiting area and all they did for a 77 year old woman was a blood sample draw. Finally called her son and left waiting room and went home.
