Their customer service skills suck. They don't care when they screw up. They will put whatever they can back on the customer. They lost meat, they lost alive pigs, they give back nasty meat, they fail to tell you that their curing and smoking isn't USDA inspected so you if out when you pick up your meat that you now can't sell it.
We always use Wells and have never had any issues! Just picked up our pork( hog ) and the bacon looks soooo good, can't wait to have some!!
We have taken many hogs and cows to Wells in Burgaw and have never had an issue. This last trip we took 3 hogs to them, we decided we wanted the hams cured. They called us this past week to come pick all 6 hams up, they were done being cured. We cut into the first one and it was rotten so we decided to cut into all of them. Only one was good out of the six. Five of them were no good and one had maggots in it. I know people make mistakes so we called to see if they would make it right.
