Was pre-approved for a mortgage. Made an offer on a home and the mortgage was not approved. The day they told me they did not approve the loan they proceeded to conduct and charge me for the appraisal. They said they would refund me but haven't so I protested through the credit card company and they fought to have the charge reinstated. Just awful. I continue to talk to them and they continue to say they will get me a refund and then simply don't. Don't trust these people
I recently refinanced my home with this branch. Previous loan holder was WF. After making me jump through the million hoops as expected being self employed I was finally approved. Now 6 months later I'm having to deal with a tax lien on my property due to the not so skeptical look at the HUD statement. Been dealing with WF to pay this out of my escrow for over 3 months.
