I recently had the beginning stages of a gastric condition that has periodically plagued me since I was a teenager. I called my primary care physician (whom I have the greatest confidence in) but could not get an appointment. The nurse said that I should go to the walk-in clinic on Walzem Road at once - the pain was increasing. I did so. My Dr. has been absorbed into Well Med. The quality of everything except his personal care has deteriorated drastically. Their communications are poor, inaccurate, untimely and sometimes non-existent. Telephone answering has been delegated to a service, wait times for an answer are exceeding 3 minutes, and the quality of office personnel has been educed to many who have some language impediment. My husband died and I feel it was because of the Doctors at Wellmed. I feel they can not get a job anywhere else so they work at Wellmed. Many are educated outside of US. I now have great insurance and wish I had never used Wellmed.

If you want your parent to die quickly sign up for wellmed it takes 2 week to a month to get anything approved . My parent left rehab on November 15 andwith instructions from the rehab doctor to start rehab immediately but it can’t get approved until another doctor checks my parent next week . The doctors don’t talk to each other . It is a nightmare . She had an infection and the medicine wasn’t approved for 10 days

Good doctor. However the post visit service sucks! Unable to log in to the wellmed portal, 8 days later and have yet to get my prescription filled as the provider has not responded to the pharmacy inquiry, they are unable to reset my access to their portal, many promises to get back to me but no one has. I guess I will have to change to a doctor unaffiliated with well med.

Just visited wellmed in san antonio in the Ingram mall area. Was not pleased with care from the moment I stepped in the office. After quick summary of my visit I was told to wait outside on my car. I dont think the front desk is completely educated on patience symptoms. I did mention my symptoms were abdominal cramps/pain, diarrhea, vomiting, fainting spells and dehydration. Never was ask if I had a fever, in which I didn't. So for them to send me out to my car is not justifiable. What if I had as faint episode in the parkin... read more

I could not agree more with other reviews. POOR communication, you call and get a under educated person in a "call center" atmosphere who has poor communication skills and you leave your request with them. You will always get the same response "I will let the Doctor know" and then NOTHING happens. You have to follow up in person to get anything done....even RX refills.

POOR COMMUNICATION AND CARE. I AGREE WITH MOST COMMENTS POSTED ALREADY WITH COMPLAINTS. YOUR COMPANY SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE PROPER AUTHORITIES.
