My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Michael Auvenshine for close to 20 years. He is a wonderful doctor, both in general practice and sports medicine. All of a sudden, a few weeks ago, he and another doctor at the practice were told during a meeting that they would no longer be employed with WellMed due to "downsizing" and that all their patient appointments for that day and future were cancelled! TL;DR Go to another place, anywhere but here. I have been a patient here for several years. Dr Nutting was my PCP and he was great. He has left the practice and I was assigned Dr Sarah Kent as my new PCP. I went in last week for my midyear follow up appointment. She was horrible, probably the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. If I could give this practice zero stars I would. If you think the patient treatment from the management staff is bad, you have no clue how bad they treat their own staff. The front desk staff let me in on them Letting multiple people, including physicians go, over a phone call with zero advanced warning. Then to be told they would just reschedule me with a doctor still there of their choice but, the new doctor doesn’t write prescriptions for my daily prevention med I’ve been on for 6 years.
