I want to warn anyone who is approached by **** Reps offering free stuff to sit through a presentation to RUN not Walk but Run away!!! These people are con artists who will say or do whatever it takes to talk you into buying a timeshare! And dont think for a second you will just take your free stuff and leave! NO! They will manipulate you and pressure you until you agree. I have been a **** Resort timeshare owner since 2018. Since then I have had nothing but negative experience with their sales staff and "customer representative" (also sales). After purchasing the timeshare we knew we had made a mistake. It started with being told "we NEEDED" to do annual "update" meetings with both owners (you and your spouse). We were approached at the ** Beer Festival by booth workers, they offered us a complimentary round trip to ****** in exchange we would need to come to a timeshare presentation, so we agreed to attend. On the day of the presentation, we traveled from *************************** to ********, and we arrived early in the afternoon.The salesperson laid a deal in front of us showing us all the places we could go if we decided to take the deal in front of us. There is nothing convenient or special about owning a timeshare!! Everything they tell you in the meeting is a lie!! It is so much easier to book a resort through online sites that provide so many more options that fit your vacation needs. You have to jump through hoops to get a booking and then when you go they hound you to come to an owners meeting disguised as an informational meeting to make sure you know how to work everything, then they hit you with the notion that you need to buy more points! Imagine paying for a vacation that you cant get a reservation to use...thats what owning a timeshare with **** is like. Imagine buying twice as many points so you can send your daughter to ****** on a honeymoon and being assured by the salesman that it would happen,then find out nope, no accommodations available. We are very disappointed in **** Resorts and would advise anyone considering a purchase to RECONSIDER! We have been owners with **** Resorts since June, 2010. We have paid for it and have always kept our fees current. However, they will not allow us to cancel even though we have fulfilled our obligation and NEVER USED IT! It is near impossible to book a reservation even 6 months ahead. In fact, one of the properties we called told us, "**** has a limited number of rooms." I was lied to and misled into signing up for a Welktimeshare. Nothing I was told at the presentation was the truth, including the time allottedfor the presentation. We were told 90 minutes and that 90 minutes ended up lasting at least6 hours!! Then when we tried to use it, we found out all the lies about the ease of bookingand how we could use it. We have a fully paid timeshare with **** Resorts, however, they still want to hold us hostage to the maintenance fees even though we have made it clear we no longer want it or have a need for it. We were told when we bought it that they have a buyback program if we ever decide we dont want it. Thinking that removed the risk, we fell for it. Now they wont even take it back for free, let alone buy it back! They told us after it was paid for we would essentially be vacationing for free. Not true! I am VERY ******* with **** Resort and ***. Both are very difficult to work with and even communicate with. We have been displeased with our purchase ever since we became owners and then we upgraded thinking that was our problem since they made it look so easy. Wrong! It was still difficult and we got no help even after upgrading.
