Best surgeon for double cataracts due to treatment of eye cancer with marfran and other eye problems possible. Very satisfied. Highly recommended. UCSD Shiley Eye Institute La Jolla. Dr Nathan Scott for treatment surgery at same institution. Both heads of dept.
I had cataract surgery July 2023 by Dr Haw. Having worked in the medical field, including ophthalmology, for 35 years this care was the worst I have ever seen. As they are booking 6 months in advance; preoperatively I requested a call 4 or 5 times, none was ever received. When Dr. Haw did visit at the surgery center for 2 minutes prior to surgery, I was shocked when he started backing up as I asked one question ("Can I go to a funeral tomorrow?"). Dr Haw is excellent. Can see great after my cataract surgery. No more glasses for me! If you need surgery, I would only see Dr Haw!!!
Again, I need to thank you, Dr. Weldon Haw, and his team at Shiley Eye Institute at UCSD. I had to have surgery to remove my right eye cataract. I had surgery on my left eye about last year, and it went so well. This time I was relaxed, knowing that I was in good hands. Dr. Michael J Ang was the assistant doctor, and I have to give my thanks to him. Basically, Shiley Institute is a fantastic place for any eye problems. I can't express how happy I'm for having the surgery done by Dr. Weldon Haw.
Very caring and attentive. My mom was so happy with her vision correction surgery especially how quick it was and how instantly she could see clearly on the drive home. It is done one eye at a time but none the less excited for the drive down to La Jolla to the second appointment with results like these.
