When you enter the door of Welcome Stitchery, you are greeted by a large collection of stitched Welcomes as well as a friendly staff. Our shop was started in 1988 in an old Victorian 2 story house in downtown Crystal Lake, Illinois. As our products and services expanded we out grew our quaint residential setting. They allowed me to wander and check everything out to my heart's content, but also made sure to check in with me to make sure I found everything I was looking for. What a great shop. The ladies are SO nice and helpful. And there is so much to choose from - I could spend days here. Luckily they are not far from me. I told them this was my new happy place😊
Stopped in for the first time in January and looking forward to my next stop in a couple weeks! So much to look at and choose from...I could spend hours browsing and deciding what I want.
This is one of my favorite places to be! The staff are wonderful- so knowledgeable and helpful.. They carry a wide variety of patterns, fabrics, threads, and accessories. They also do framing and their work is first rate.. I just love this shop �

Our stitching group has been coming to Crystal Lake for years now. Twice per year! We just love Welcome Stitchery. Lee, Monica and all the girls are the best. Such a wonderful atmosphere.
