Excellent place to do business, very helpful, polite, and efficient
Our family had a truck fire on the highway right near Vestal, and Mike from Weitsmen Recycling was the first person to stop his truck and rush over to help our family try to extinguish the fire. Mike did everything he could to help put out the fire, along with bringing our family (and dog) water from his truck. I didn’t get Mike’s full name, but he was a saint that day and appreciate all he did for our family and first responders!
Management treats the drivers terribly, playing favorites and fluctuating the scheduled start time by 2-3 hours daily when they're upset with you. Company claims to be all about safety but ignores any kind of maintenance on company trucks.
Called ahead and asked for a price on a specific material and was told “$1.53/lb for insulated copper #2, come on down!” I show up and unload that exact material (100% all insulated #2). And then when I go to the counter, the same employee that answered my call gives me $0.75/lb. These employees must be coached to operate their business in this manner. It’s a dishonest way to run a company and unfortunate that we have to deal with people who have such a poor moral center.
