I am currently a patient on the 8th floor. I want to give accolades to my nurse today, March 2,2026. Khari, my nurse today was absolutely fantastic. From the moment she walked into my room shortly after 7am until she just walked out at 7:35pm she has been extremely helpful, caring, and very supportive. Scheduling is an absolute joke. They cannot keep anything straight, and decided to not let us know that we couldn't do my wife's ultrasound until we arrived and waited for 30 minutes after a 40 minute drive just to drive back 40 minutes. All after berating my wife for being 5 minutes late for her last appointment, but we were just supposed to understand that mistakes happen.
If I could give 0 stars I would… I went to the emergency room due to kidney stones. The Urologist Dr. Parihar is awful… Very unsanitary and very rude. I’ve seen him once before and had a problem with him the first time. But anyways they sent me home with a 7mm stone which you can pass but very rare… I went to the er there three times and they sent me home twice and then admitted me. While Weirton Medical Center (WVU) are working to save my mother-in-law's life, the security department is actively traumatizing her family. Despite clearing the machine with NO alerts, the guard still forced my wife to open her purse and allow him to search it. This was not a safety screening; it was harassment. We were treated like criminals while our family member was in critical condition. My experience with the OB team was horrific to say the least. I had inhepatic cholestasis of pregnancy and gestational diabetes and was very ill. Those doctors would NOT approve my FMLA while pregnant with VERY valid conditions and to me that is unlawful and they are going to put people’s jobs at risk unlawfully. I tried to file complaint with hospital, never heard back from them.
