I was supposed to have a spinal cord stimulator installed by him. During surgery I was awaken with what I thought was wrong because my left arm was so painful. He was calling out to get me down to a mri. So when I became awake the second time I was being wheeled to get that. Dr Weinland told me when I woke up that I had a spinal cord shock. Got referrend to, and met with this Dr today over a strange (POTS) symtpom my daughter was having and basically got laughed out of the office over it. "MRI looks fine, and I'm a surgeon so I don't know why your here, Oh it's weird when you press that? try not pressing on it. haha bye.." was his very short, condescending interaction, at least with us. Waist of time.
Dr. Weinand is not only a skilled surgeon, he's a compassionate human being. Since he performed my epilepsy surgery, I have been seizure-free...it's life-changing! Dr. Martin Weinand is my mentor. He makes sure he reviews every patients history and beyond before he meets them. I was homeless when I was 15 years old and now I am on track to becoming a neurosurgeon like him. He took me in under his wing and I will strive to work hard to one day make him proud.
