My patient went to see Dr Bongiovanni for a fracture in her foot. She was told her fracture shoe given by her doctor was "out of date" and she needed a large boot. She was a medicare patient and as far as we know this doctor takes medicare. She got a threatening letter and bill for non payment for $1300. The boot, which is about $60 on amazon was billed to her (not her insurance) for $700+ and the office visit was $500+. Both should have been billed to, and paid for, by medicare. Terrible experience - came away in worse condition than when went to him. He was nice at first, did a botched job and when tried to contact for help afterward he was rude and treated very poorly. Heard office staff gossiping and laughing about clients as they walk out. I wish I would have never walked in to the office...very disappointed...stay away!

I like this doctor quite a bit. Several months back I suffered a calf strain and then recently I woke up with severe pain beneath a toe. I called Weil Foot & Ankle and they set me up with Dr. Bongiovanni. He was kind, compassionate and spent a decent time with me to properly diagnose my issues and offer a conservative treatment plan which is working. I also got orthotics to help prevent future injuries. I have had custom orthotics made years ago, but these orthotics are on a whole other level. I highly recommend him.
