This company is a joke. My daughter is currently living in one of the complexes. She experienced a raw sewage backup/flood in less than two weeks after she moved in. She had to vacate for 5 days while they figured out a new unit for her with no compensation, had to switch utilities and pay transfer fees etc, company claimed they would compensate and only compensated $65. Living in Lakewood apartments aince 1987 and in the last 2 years there are constant issues with tenant not following noise policy. Issues with high utility bills not equitable when determining utlity portion, it is not based on occupancy. Numerous complaints to landlord and head office regarding repairs required and nothing is done. poor and unresponsive customer service, and a failure to hold themselves accountable for administrative errors. Rented a apartment from them and stayed for 3+ years. Never a day late for rent, Never a noise complaint. When we moved the apartment was left cleaner then when we moved in. All was good even got most of the damage deposit back. So I applied again since my family has out grown the current rental I'm in, and was flabbergasted when I was told I'm on the DO NOT RENT list because I supposedly broke my lease when I moved out, how can that be? I have lived under this company for 3 years , year 1 was very responsible. I was paying $985 with 2 cats . Even though they only vacuumed the building , oh , maybe every 2 months the rent was cheap enough I don’t complain. Year 2 , I get a $215 increase!! Insane right and pretty greedy… not as bad as year 3 ! Pure greed to go up $265 more for $1465 total and charging for heat water and gas on a flat rate now too !
