I am currently receiving care from Dr. Weichbrodt, and I have nothing but positive things to say. I was treated with respect, and dignity. I am pleased with my plan of care.
I am so surprised to see these negative reviews. I have had a very different experience with Dr. Weichbrodt. He is very caring and compassionate and gentle mannered. He has helped me tremendously with getting on the right medications for my depression and anxiety.
Daughter was very unfortunate to be treated by this doctor at an inpatient facility. She was admitted for suicidal ideation (no addiction issues), but this doctor treated her like a criminal. very uncompassionate, very wicked...your license should be revoked Dr Weichbrodt.
I think somewhere along the way this Dr quit caring. I was a patient at Ridgeview and he was not helpful, non caring, and didn't review my chart before one visit that I know of and was unreachable at one point. If you check in to Ridgeview please choose another Dr. I hope sir you can find your compassion again.
My senior husband was under Dr. Weichbrodt’s care for over a year. In the last few months, he recommended that he come off a medication that requires weaning. Dr. W does not clearly communicate the directions for weaning, and my husband suffered severe withdrawal symptoms. I called the after care # to leave a message. It took him over 30 hours to respond. In the meantime, we had to visit a local ER for assistance. Last Thursday, I called his office during working hours (11:30 am) and expressed my concern that my husband was ... read more
Dr. Weichbroadt was a treating physician for my 15yr old son. The first and only time I spoke to him he was condescending , biligerent and disrespectful. He mocked my son and treated him me as if I was garbage. If you have children try to understand them. If you seek medical treatment be careful of who the physician is. Dr. Weichbroadt 36yrs of experience does not give him the God given right to mistreat anyone. If I wrote out what he said to me you would feel my dismay and grief.
My son (a minor) was at Ridgeview Institute for 9 days. Dr. Weichbrodt spoke to me once, 4 days into my son's stay. He (of course) wanted to prescribe an antidepressant. I asked for more information. 4 days later (the day before my son was released), the staff at the institute hands me a PRINTOUT from drugs.com. I was expecting some study related research on the efficacy in adolescents. And now I'm being billing nearly $800 for what?
Dr. Weichbrodt ordered me to stop taking the benzodiazepines I had been taking for years, cold turkey. Quitting a drug like that cold turkey CAN KILL YOU. I told him over and over that I was concerned for my safety and he did not listen at all. I needlessly suffered panic attacks and almost had a seizure. Then he refused to treat me when I told him I should taper down. Later, I found a doctor who got me off those drugs in 10 days flat, without any discomfort. Avoid, he doesn't care about safety.
For 15 years prior to my recovery he was an excellent listener and explained his findings each visit.
