David is an excellent hairstylist. I brought in photos of the type of haircut I wanted, and David took the time to customize it to flatter my face and explained why a certain length or proportion would work better with my hair texture and face shape. He asks questions like "how much time do you spend on your hair?" and "do you air dry or blow dry your hair?" to make sure he's giving me a cut and style that I can easily maintain on my own at home. David is patient, intelligent, and meticulous - a true craftsman. I went from long layers to a lob and then a blunt bob in a year. Every time I come in to see him with a new idea, I get to appreciate how hard he works to make it look good on me. You never feel rushed and he always gives you his full attention. It's truly refreshing to have someone so diligent and thoughtful do my hair.

David, many thanks for fitting me in on such short notice. I'm thrilled with my highlights and cut. I'm so glad you suggested a warmer color - it made such a difference. I wish you had a clone here in Philly :)! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Ann Arbor.

I was intrigued by the 5 stars review and so I decided to give him a shot to do my hair. Then I quickly realized what a mistake! That’s because I never went to a hair stylist that would insist their ideas were better than the customers’. I knew what style I liked partly because I went to a beauty school too and know what’s style best for me.
