I just had my appointment cancelled for a massage session. The soonest I was offered was almost 2 months later! You would think that if you're going to inconvenience clients by canceling on them you could offer them appointments sooner then 2 months out. I'm now going to have to find another place to get treatment for my chronic back pain as I can't wait 2 months. I have had about 3 massage sessions with ASH and he is truly amazing. I can't say that it is pain free, but it is the only massage that has helped greatly with low back- and hip- pain. He always checks if it is too much pressure and will immediately adjust if needed. Most of the time, I let it be a bit painful because I feel like it pays off in the end. If you are looking for an effective therapeutic/sports massage, Ash is your guy!
Response to reply: I've had 3 craniosacral providers and know what the methodology feels like. It is an extremely gentle-touch massage. Typically between the skull and tailbone, but sometimes includes the legs too. It always happens face-up. Cranio is absolutely, unequivocally not what I received. I also addressed why I did not speak up in my original review below. That doesn't change or forgive the experience. Complete incompetence when it comes to billing/admin and communication. I was put on a waiting list for massage therapy for 2 months until my appointment. Although I was told that cancellations were common, I never received a call. 2 months later, I get a text 30 minutes before my appointment notifying me that massage therapy isn’t covered by my insurance.
