Warning - Don't give them your credit / debit card info! – "We Deliver" Videos has a good selection of movies and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable, but once they have your card information, they will not delete it from their system and will use it to help themselves to your money whenever they feel like it. I had their plan to pay for 5 or 10 rentals in advance and found out that, when I got low on credits, they would just charge me for another five or ten rentals without asking. A Rarity Anymore In NYC – Call me old fashioned, but I don't subscribe to Netflix and I still like the process of walking through a video store to select a movie to rent. My options to do this are incredibly limited these days, so I'm grateful that We Deliver Videos is so close. VERY BEST STORE IN NYC!!!! – This is my favorite store in NYC!!!!! The owners and staff are so funny and give the best recommendations. I?ve definitely put them to the test ?..I watch everything and sometimes I make them spend 20 minutes on me!! I know I?m selfish but that?s what I love in this place. Bad service, poor record keeping – Staff here is awful, I've been going for nearly two years since it?s the closest place to my apartment but it?s not worth saving time. This is the second time they have charged my credit card for a movie that has already been returned. The movie was placed in their return box a few days after it was rented and they have no record of it. The staff was rude to me on the phone. Easy – I personally don't care for Time Warner's Movies on Demand. Could be the worst run company on the planet. I think DVD's look and sound better and you don't have to worry about a bad signal or freezing screens. However, who wants to run out and make that trip to Blockbuster - second worst run company on the planet. Crazy selection, Nice Staff – I love 'We Deliver Videos' and though I'm moving soon, I wish I could take them with me! They have one of the best selections I've ever seen especially their foreign film and tv-on-dvd selection. The staff is also very knowlegeable and will offer advice and opinions if you ask. Unlike many video places, they actually know what they're talking about! And their delivery is always prompt. I guess in conclusion they're a fantastic rental place and a true gem in a great neighborhood.
Arrogant staff and poorly maintained DVDs – A staff person at "We Deliver Videos" was terribly rude and patronizing -- even snickering and raising his voice -- after I pointed out to him that a DVD was so severely scratched that it could not play on any of the three different DVD players on which we tried it. I understand that DVDs get scratched from time to time, but this one was severely worn, and the staff should have serviced it long ago. It was not playable on any of our DVD players.
