I thought it was fairer to leave a post on your page asking that you reconsider your position on declawing than to leave a negative review. It seems like you are generally kind folks who even post about animal welfare. Sadly, you chose to delete my post leaving me no other forum for my comment but this one. I hope you will recognize that we wish you no harm, just as we wish that you will discontinue this practice that is so harmful to animals.

Shame, shame, shame on you for promoting declawing. How about living up to your name? I volunteer at an animal shelter, and we get plenty of declawed cats surrendered. Declawing can cause major physical and psychological problems and lead to biting and litter box issues. Also I've seen cats after botched declawing where bone fragments were left behind. The results are hideous, and extremely painful to the cat!

Just adding my 2 cents to the declawing fray. If you mutilate pets for the convenience of humans you are scum.

Declawing cats is cruel, painful and completely unnecessary, yet this practice is having a sale on it! Show me a vet who willingly has their first knuckles amputated (ie, 'declawed'), then I'll change my opinion.

Practice animal cruelty and mutilation by declawing cats, and promoted a sales event. Cats losing toes over greed. Disgusting practice!

As an animal hospital I would expect you to actually care about animals. Suggesting 20% off to declaw cats is not loving them.. It is torturing them. As an ANIMAL HOSPITAL YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS.. You really should be ashamed.. WHERE IS YOUR APOLOGY? Why have you not responded to this outrage? So sad.

I’m a retired feline practitioner from a Canadian province that has banned declawing as an unethical procedure. There is mounting evidence that declawing causes both short and long term complications in cats. If you truly care as your hospital name implies, educate yourself and stop declawing cats, because one declaw is one too many.

I see you took down the post regarding declawing and my comments. I'll just remind you then that I live in the UK where declawing is illegal and is specifically outlawed under our Animal Welfare Act 2006. It is quite rightly classed as mutilation. If a vet and owner were stupid enough to declaw a cat here they would both be looking at up to 51 weeks in prison and/or a £20,000 fine!

Stop maiming cats by declawing. Most civilized countries BAN this procedure, and you promote it with a special offer.
