I will never come back to this hospital. Took my granddaughter there because of a DV situation. I explained to them that she may have a concussion. Remind you, we came by ambulance. Arrived at 11:55 am. She did not see a Dr until 5 p.m., and it was only because I started complaining. It was a very slow day. I walked around and counted the rooms 12 rooms, and 4 of them had patients in them. And that was including the room my granddaughter was in. Remind you that we are the only black patients waiting. A terrible experience! I went to the emergency room because bleach got into my eye, and I specifically told the staff that I wouldn’t wait if it was going to take too long. They assured me that I would see a doctor within 1-2 hours at most, but I ended up waiting for 6 hours! During this time, my vision was impaired, I was seeing blurry, and I couldn’t open my eye. I remember Ann Arundel Medical Center before, Luminis, and it was top notch, and appeared to be on road to some great things. They had a cardiac surgeon from Illinois headed there, and suddenly he didn’t come, shortly after there another cardiac surgeon from the University of Maryland Medical system that was able to perform mitral valve surgery without stopping the heart, and he not not there, next thing you know Luminis takes over, and I’ve read nothing but bad reviews, what going on? Brought my husband to ER today for severe knee pain. After initial contact and x-ray, the wait to see a doctor seemed inordinately long. I asked how long it might be before Dr would be available to discuss x-ray. Staff had no idea and said it could be a very long time and clearly did not care. Staff response was curt and annoyed I had even asked. A little bit later my husband walked through corridor to test his knee and tried to see where doctor was. I’ve never had such a great experience while experiencing scary things.. thank you for my wonderful team that took care of me the obgyn’s , nurses & everything are amazing I can’t thank you guys enough for saving me & making me feel safe and comfortable!
