It’s really quite astounding that a doctor can enter a diagnosis code into a computer and change the trajectory of your entire life, and then not even remember that they did that or remember that they even met you when you see them again. I am so upset with the mental health system at this point. People, be so aware when you bring your child to a psychiatrist on what you BOTH are in for. That record may follow them forever. I have had good experiences with Dr. Ticknor. I have not had good experiences with the billing department, however. Jodi is in the habit of billing what she thinks you owe before running it through insurance properly. As a result, she has twice now in 6 months charged me my full deductible, without warning, when it was not appropriate. This has caused me significant anxiety and stress; Jodi clearly does not understand what it's like to live paycheck-to-paycheck. Literally the worst medical professional I have ever experienced. Dr. Wellner destroyed my kids high school by throwing adult drugs not approved for adolescents at them that eventually sent them to the hospital. The receiving physician said my child had no business on that adult medication at an "insane dose." Run don't walk away from her. She has no business prescribing meds let alone being in practice IMHO.

Dr. Wellner is an amazing psychiatrist. She is skilled in many of the areas of child and adolescent psychiatry. She takes her time with you during appointments, and shows you compassion and kindness when speaking with you. She is extremely educated and is an excellent role model for patients. Dr. Wellner has significantly helped my son and my family and I highly recommend her.
