Horrible awful no one calls you texts emails back in emergency claim siruaiton
Good thing I read the reviews before switching over. I was told they are more affordable but I'm ok paying a little extra and not have to deal with the nightmares outlined in the reviews. People's review do actually work so shape up if you want your business to survive. Needless to say, while wawanesa is not for me. Thanks to all the reviewers.
Very happy and quite surprised with the level of service that Wawanesa has given me. I had my car insurance through Mercury for years and had the worst experience so I didn't have high hopes for Wawanesa when I switched. Boy was I wrong. I've had to file 2 claims with them in the last year and half - one for a hit and run and then most recently for an accident caused by a road hazard (car bumper) on the middle of the freeway. Wawanesa's AM Best rating dropped from A+ to C during the pandemic, and I was removed because my lender required a B+ or higher—C was too low. As a result, I lost my car and home coverage. When I tried to return after a year, they wouldn’t reinstate my 6-year-old account and treated me like a new customer with much higher prices and extreme requirements, including submitting photos of my home.
