This is a lovely hotel. The hotel is across the street from the ocean, providing for beautiful views (once the fog burns off). The room was clean, nicely furnished with very comfortable pillow-top covers for the beds. We arrived late, just as the pool was closing, but the staff were incredibly kind enough to keep the pool open for us for a little bit longer so we could swim. Breakfast was great, with waffles and many other options.
We were meandering down PCH/101 from WA, and decided to stop in Newport for the night. We happened to drive past the Waves Hotel, and it looked like a nice seaside place, so we stopped in. Booked a 3rd-story ocean view room and it was our lucky day! The view of Nye beach and the Pacific Ocean were better than expected, and we opened the windows to enjoy the nice, cool ocean breeze. The room was fabulous and we could open our windows and hear the ocean all night long. We only wish we had more time there! Would definitely go back. Breakfast was included, as well.
This is the worst hotel to get a cancellation from. We made a reservation but had to cancel it within a few hours due to a family emergency. I got the email stating I should have my refund within 10 minutes. I have called them over 20 times and still don’t have my money. Today they said the are “still working on it and it takes 14 business days to get your refund”. I would HIGHLY suggest that NO ONE try to reserve a room at this hotel. Go somewhere else!
