this place is horrible bad people don't fix nothing and give bad references for no reason
I moved out in May and still have not received my deposit check back. I was told that there was a check that was supposed to be mailed to me but it wasn’t. I have called and emailed several times and no one is returning my calls!
Terrible place to live. The staff is very rude and disrespectful. Shainna Nelson lost our paperwork from move in so they can charge us unfairly. This company is just trying to rip college kids off. Worst living experience I’ve ever had.
RecommendedI love my apartment at the Dean in downtown Lansing. I looked all over Grand Rapids to find a cool, centrally located apt. in a walkable neighborhood. Nothing affordable or even reasonable. Man, I’m glad I checked out Lansing! I’m at The Dean! Great building with the character of places I’d live in NYC & DC. Great space too. AND a park right across the street. This place has pre-war charm to spare. And great help and communication from management. I’m very satisfied!
RecommendedI have been renting for about 4 months already. I have enjoyed the simple fact that it is one of the few apartments that don’t breed shame, which is amazing!!! But we just got a message from the complex stating that anyone partaking in a bonfire will be fined by the fire marshal! Which is really confusing because they have a fire pit?! A little confusing. RecommendedI recommend Property Management because they are true professionals who bring a positive drive to there job.If there's a citation they handle it correctly.I believe in these people.What a team.
RecommendedApartments are a good size for a good price. Management is nice and easy to work with. The only real downside is the other people who live here have no respect for the building. Smoking in the hallways (it's suppose to be a non smoking building and I have a smoke allergy. Even if somone smokes in their apartment like the bathroom, then my bathroom reaks) and leaving trash on the stairs... Which is a shame. I probably would have signed another full year lease. The communication skills of what has been needed throughout my renting experience has been inexcusable. I get emails explaining that I'm "weeks late" on information that was never asked for in any agreements or communication; finding out about deadlines the day they are to happen. Talking on the phone has been unhelpful and rather rude coming from the representative. I don't think I'd go through this company ever again.
They don't care about their tenants... They only care about getting leases signed to get their money. They don't enforce clauses in their leases and hide behind "at their discretion."
