About this business
Established in 1973. Jack Benny came and gave a benefit concert to help start the Waukegan Symphony Orchestra. A couple years later the Waukegan Concert Chorus came into existence. For the past 19 year Stephen Blackwelder directed the Symphony. This year 2018-2019 there is a conductor search. Come hear the Symphony under each of the guest conductors: Dr. Alexandra Dee, Alexander Platt, Reed Perkins, and Vadim Mazo. The Chorus is directed by Randy Casey.
