My mom has been at "The Lodge" for 6 months now and we are very happy with the facility and the care she is receiving. The Lodge has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, in part because it is a family run business. The facility is kept very clean without smelling of antiseptics, the caregivers and other staff are lovely, and management is easy to work with. It's in a great location with views of a lagoon and a little shopping center adjacent. I highly recommend this place!

Waters Edge in Alameda took such wonderful care of my dad during his final days. The staff was kind, compassionate, and always attentive—not just to his needs, but to ours as well. They made a difficult time for my mother a little easier with their professionalism , constant communication and warmth. We’re so grateful for the support and comfort they provided. I highly recommend Waters Edge to any family looking for respectful, quality care for their loved one.

I contacted Waters Edge Lodge to get some information and assistance with a family member who broke her hip and was recovering from hip replacement surgery. They offered that they have a short term Respite option. This option worked out perfectly for her and they could accommodate her immediately. Once we began to make arrangements with WEL, they worked closely with the hospital to ensure her transition went smoothly.
