I was in their IOP. They said all the right things. I was getting better and it was my safe place and then they abruptly ended care. No closure, no warning, and actually wrote on my discharge that they didn’t understand my negative reaction. I am a therapist and was dealing with significant trauma. Unfortunately my daughter was not helped by Water's Edge for anxiety/depression. Her therapist only wanted to talk about eating disorders. That would have been fine if she actually had an eating disorder, but she doesn't. She admits that she probably had some attitudes about food that weren't healthy and probably did need to be addressed, but what she really needed help with was anxiety/depression and she didn't get any help with that. RecommendedI recommend it for the Depression/Anxiety IOP and spiritual meetings with Nikki. Nikki encouraged me to find God again and that did magic in my life! Love Nikki!
Water’s Edge has incredible mental health workers and staff who are dedicated to healing and promotion of positivity. The balance of challenge and support I received changed my life and helped me to believe in and fight for myself again. ♥️
I have been seeing my counselor here weekly for 3 years. She has helped me completely turn things around. My eating disorder completely governed my life for 12 years, and now I am making huge strides towards recovery and I’m finally at a healthy weight. I also receive support for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other things. I love being able to talk about faith and pray during our sessions. And I have never before been so confident in myself or felt so capable.
This placed changed my life! I am not the same person I was when I walked through Kim's front door some years ago. Caring and compassionate environment. Safe place. Great staff! 5 stars!
