I actually look forward to staying here at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero when I travel to SF on business, so much that I have stayed here on vacation as well. I like everything about this place - service, food, location, room size and decoration, cleanliness, amenities available in the room (coffee, hair dryer, etc.), working temperature control, beautiful views on any side of the hotel, walking distance to many fantastic SF spots. I had an edible arrangement of cut fruit delivered to family members who were staying at the Hyatt Place Richmond/Arboretum. The hotel staff didn't deliver the arrangement to the room or notify the recipients it was there. When I discovered this and contacted the hotel, the person who answered the phone confirmed the hotel had received it but, had not delivered it to my family. He apologized and as an excuse said "the hotel computer system had been down the day before". He offered no form of compensation. I asked to speak to... read more
One of my favorite places to eat and have company events. the staff is helpful and know what they are doing. Downtown Sacramento is crowded and that makes things harder. The food is good.
I recommend this place to stay. Especially if you are going to S.F. for fun or Business. The bell guys were there to greet us & for the best knowledge of transportation to places without having to drive the whole time we were there. Our rooms were clean after we left and stocked well when we returned. There are a lot of nice restaurants & places to stop in for a cocktail close to hotel. If you are in to watching a good baseball game that's the place to stay.

staying there was always wonderful to me. but behind the scenes, the management is HORRIBLE!!!
I came for Code Camp and this hotel was only 6 miles from where it was being hosted. The staff was friendly, the rooms came with flat screens, and I had a heated pool, hot tub, fitness room, and free WiFi at my disposal. On top of all that, they offered free breakfast which included scrambled eggs, country potatoes, and crispy bacon (etc.). Everything was just really nice and the price was unbeatable.
