Washington Plaza, Portland, OR I've lived at the Washington Plaza for six months so before you fork over the first month's rent and deposit (which I still haven't gotten back!!) read this. The Bettie Ford club is on the first floor so Thurs-Sat nights are mind-numbing, even from the fourth floor. This might be a plus if you're a musician because it's a great time to play loud. Great location, just okay apartments I have lived there for almost three years. As an update to the Anna K review below: The Bettie Ford is now gone, and construction is finished across the street. The building is much quieter than it used to be. I haven't noticed as many students/dorm types lately either. There are some loud student types still, though. Luck of the draw, I guess, on whether you're a neighbor to one of them. The walls/floors/ceilings aren't too bad. They are reasonably thick, better than other cheap building... read more
convenient/spacious 1-bed downtown great downtown location. living in central downtown, you understand that parking will be limited and YES there will be crazy people around the block. that just comes with downtown living!! i enjoyed living here. charming unit with hardwood floors. VERY convenient location. i loved living within a couple blocks of the city's trendiest shops/restuarants and tourist destinations. management is great. no complaints overall. very affordable 1-bed apartments-- i don't think they accept any pets.
