Washington Concrete Products, Inc., was founded in 1960 by R. Malcolm Sewell. Originally as a small concrete block manufacturer and mobile home skirting company located in Plainville, CT. As time went by, Malcolm realized there was a need for Pre-Cast steps as opposed to the single tread units they had been making. In 1970 Richard joined his father Malcolm.
