Always have a great time here with the food and service! I highly advise trying the lunch specials here! They're open until 2:30 for lunch and it's an incredible deal compared to most places in town. I do like that they use oil vs butter for their fried rice entrees.
We have a family of 5 that ate there this evening and I am extremely disappointed! I ordered two kids hibachi beef dinners and one adult hibachi beef and sushi. I was very upset when the adult portion was the same as the child's with twice the price tag! The chef was too close for comfort! I have a toddler that became extremely upset because the fire was too big too hot and too close! Food was very good, but after that it is downhill. Horrible, noisy atmosphere.
My gf and I ate here for the first time, and everything was great. I've had samurai numerous times, and samurai is good, but my Japanese gf felt Wasabi was a lot better. Our chef was excellent, the food was excellent, and I highly recommend them.
Not sure the experience could have been worse. Our waitress had the personality of a cold brick. Waited looooong periods of time for everything from drinks, refills, to getting the check. Drinks came out all wrong at first and then waited and waited for drink replacements. The cook had no idea what the waitress had wrote down. There was no rhythm what so ever. All we, and others at the table, wanted to do was to leave. Food bland, small portions, & sushi was good. Waste of time and money.
I've had the sushi and the beef negi maki bento box. Both were awesome! Finally, a place in WF that knows how to make GOOD sushi and has more authentic Japanese dishes on their menu.
Bad!! the rice was bland and the sauce was to sweet and they were skimpy on the beef. We got to go did not dine in.
Wasabi's atmosphere was amazing. I enjoyed the private and large party tables. I had the chicken and I ready enjoyed all the different flavor of sauces they let us try. I did not get and sushi unfortunately but it looked wonderful. You can't compare to Samuri the only thing in common is they both have hibachi grills.
Im from wichita and I drive almost 3 hours to find good sushi. Not anymore. Kudos to these chefs. They do it right. I will be back.
