Run from this service provider. I brought my laptop to Warp Computers Raleigh NC because it was misbehaving i.e. not hold a charge. They called me and said that the mother board needed to be replaced, and the data can be backed up with an external hard drive $89.00 in addition to the 59.99 diagnostic charge that I paid in advanced. Then the representative Mr. Harry/Henry continued to say that replacing the motherboard and the battery would cost me right around $1000.00 including scrapping the computer (whatever that means).... read more
Have had good responses there I had a Compaq desktop with a ruined motherboard and went to Warp for a new board to put in it. They had two that would fit. I bought one and was going to leave when Frank asked if I wanted, he would install the board at no cost. I said OK and it was installed in place of the old one. The computer worked just fine and is still in service 8 years later. Another computer had a bad floppy drive and an empty space for a CD drive. Love this place I can't complain, got what i needed. They were willing to negotiate and now they got themselves a new happy customer.
A+ Saw a sign at the old location saying they moved to millbrook and atlantic, i like the new location, much easier to get in and out of it, same people, love the attitude and the work they have done for me. They've always been helpful, A+++
Slow - Unresponsive Too slow, Went there to get my laptop repaired. They took 29 days to repair it. The day it got repaired, they called me up to tell me that if I don't pick it up soon, they would scrap my laptop. I used to call them up every other day only to be assured that my laptop would be done very shortly, the parts (required for the laptop repair) have been shipped. bad experience I brought a notebook computer to this establishment after seeing a favorable review off of a search engine result. The notebook had a bad motherboard and I was told that it would be 100 to 800 dollars to fix. That is akin to a doctor examing your finger and telling you that it might just need a bandaid ,or it might need to be amputated. I told them to get me a proper estimate. Wish I could rate them Zero An estimate of 2 weeks means more than 5. When we call, we only get an answering machine that nobody cares to call us back. We finally drove down to see why they will not return our calls to find a sign on the door saying they are moving, but it doesn't say where and to call the same number that nobody answers or calls you back from. I'm beginning to think they stole my machine. I guess the BBB is the next place to go.
