The only sensible choice. Whenever I see negative comments on a business, I take them with a grain of salt because it is usually irritated customers that write reviews. I have to comment on Wards to counter some of the negativity. In the 042 zip code, Wards wins hands down. Sure they screw up once in a while, everyone does. Slow, sloppy, unprofessional service "Deluxe Tune-up" not done when promised. Lawn-mower ran worse than before after $96 service! - was told that it "just needs to warm-up". After warming it up for 2+ hours cutting my lawn, I discovered the blade had not been tightened down. When I took it back, was told that the blade adapter was shot, because I ran something over (I didn't), and that it would be done that afternoon. Next day I return and it hadn't been touched. The place for power equipment repair Though Ward's sells the full range of lawn and home care power equipment, we haven't had the occasion to purchase anything there. But we have a few times had our lawn mowers and generators repaired there, and have never been disappointed with the service or the price. Always fast to get your equipment back to you in working order.
Purchased Used Ariens I bought a used Ariens mower from Ward's and it ran good for a couple of years. Then it wouldn't start and I took it back and they had a wait time of 6 weeks, I took it home with a new float kit from the parts counter and it started right up, took 15 minutes. Now it won't run again. This time I took it apart and found so many things wrong that were obvious and should have been replaced by the shop prior to when I purchased it originally. Best equipment & knowledge Went to different dealers as well as the box stores, and found that Wards had the nicest and most knowledgeable people of anyplace I went. You can't beat the combination of good equipment and good people.
Listen to me very carefully, this guy sucks. He had my mower all winter on its 4th trip for the same problem and could not fix. Then one of his boys broke the hood on my mower and he would not repair it properly. I got it home and it would not start. I ended up buying a new mower, and will never go back there again.. He sucks to the highest degree... if I could give him minus points on the stars I would.
I have been doing business with Wards for the past two years for both business and personal purchases. I am a very happy customer. I have had positive experiences every time I have visited the store. I have purchased new, brought equipment in for service or just need information on the equipment, I have always left feeling like they did there very best and I was a very happy customer. Thank you Wards for the years of great service and here's to many more. I give you a 5 star all the way.
I appreciate the great customer service I receive from Wards. I work for the WSDOT I purchase the equipment our techs use in the field. I am responsible for making sure it is accounted for and schedulingthe maintenace and if it breaks I get it fixed. Always have been good – Have done business with Wards Power for 4 years now. Bought a Honda mower 2 years ago and love it. Bought a Stihl trimmer last year .... best I have ever had, and now I will go buy a Stihl blower this week. Wards carries the best quality products and have the service dept. to back it up.
