MONEY! that's #1 for this guy and his office! He wanted over $6,000. up-front to do the uro-lift procedure, saying he'd keep my money till the insurance paid. Have you ever heard of such a thing? I asked for a copy of a report, they had to get $3.25 from me for the photo copy! Then they sent me a letter from a COLLECTION AGENCY for $60.11, an amount they never sent me a bill for! I can echo some of the sentiments already stated below. Just got referred to them from my endocrinologist, and I found the phone operators / staff (in "new appointments") to be extraordinarily rude and condescending. If I had a choice (and I don't because I am on medi-Cal), I would go elsewhere.
If I could leave a ZERO I would. The receptionist Erika is a snooty little witch (with a Capitol B). She behaves as if we are bothering her. After denying my last visit because I was 10 minutes late. The next visit 2 weeks later she informed me that the authorization from my insurance company had expired and they had not recieved an extension. Not a fan. The desk staff is rude at best. One time, they demanded I pay my bill when then hadn't even invoiced me yet. When I complained to the Doctor, he couldn't care less. I am glad they are leaving town. Palm Desert deserves MUCH better than this team.
